The Wayfarers is a mens’ society formed for players of handicaps 9.5 to 17.4 and is a means of playing in a league against other clubs in a match-play format. There is a small annual fee of £10 to be a Wayfarer member.

Each year all clubs wishing to play within the Society are drawn at random into groups of 6-7. All teams within a group play against one another on a home & away basis in ‘Greensome Foursomes’ matches (through May – September).

We are always looking for new ‘blood’ within this society, so if your handicap is as above, can give up some time & would like the opportunity to play then do not hesitate in putting your name forward (details of matches will be posted on the Wayfarers board in the club house, on the web-site and in the fixtures book ).

As a club society during the spring/summer months we meet on a Wednesday evening where the tee is booked from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.  This is a Stableford competition where Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and a golf ball and bottle prize raffle are awarded in the club house after play. The entrance fee is £4.00 and as usual, all are welcome. We also play for the Wayfarer of the Year trophy (this is only for those with 9.5-17.4 handicap) and have an end of year away-day.

If you need any other information regarding the Wayfarers society please do not hesitate in contacting Paul Maplestone (Captain), Ian Eidman (Treasurer) or Colin Smith (Secretary).
